Saturday, June 26 Horseback riding -- I found a fantastic place in Monroe, CT  Trail riding, 45 minutes, $35  Bring a picnic basket, wine, etc……..we can eat on their grounds.  This place is fantastic; the woman who owns it rescued all the horses,  she has quite a story to tell about the land too. Apparently it's a very holistic and tranquil piece of land. Some have even said they have seen Indians walking the grounds……guess what, they're aren't any there -- at least not now. They have unearthed arrowheads doing some of their renovations. It's quite a place!!  If you're experienced with riding, that's great……this is also for those that have never ridden before.
Italian Cooking Class -- Bolton  Date has been determined -- looking at Tuesday, June 29th at 6 p.m.  Space is limited -- let me know if you are interested and then I will get the directions to their home. Price of event is $25 -- cash only. Includes everything from appetizer to dessert.....you will assist in cooking and will receive all the recipes.  Menu will include Chicken Parmigiana.  Looking at a weeknight in June. Let me know if you have an interest in participating!  I'm just waiting to hear back from the person who is teaching the class.
Bowling -- We will be joining an existing league, which meets on Wednesday nights, in South Windsor. This is a diverse group -- all people are very nice and it will be a lot of fun!! This is for fun…….serious folks do NOT apply!! Looking at starting to practice in July/August!!

 Coastal Kayaking
Coastal Connecticut’s waterways are beautiful, diverse, and  user-friendly. The region’s large tidal rivers, smaller freshwater rivers, lakes, marshes, and the Long Island Sound, with its many beaches and islands, are made for sea kayaks. These easy-to-paddle craft are perfectly suited to quietly explore the area’s tranquil nooks and crannies. In a kayak, birds and wildlife are easy to observe, small streams and shallow marshes can be conveniently navigated, and you  feel connected to nature in an intimate way.
Kayak Nature Tour at Bluff Point. Explore the salt marsh, islands, and river ecosystems with a certified kayak instructor and environmental interpreter.  No previous experience required and all equipment is provided.  Duration: 3 hours.  Distance: 4 miles.  Cost: $90.  Non-residents: $113.00  Date: Saturday June 26, noon to 4 pm. Carpool and depart from Center Springs.  Your instructor, Jerry Wylie, is a certified kayak instructor and owner of Connecticut Coastal Kayaking, LLC.
