Pilates with Props
Pilates strengthens the muscles that support the spine the neck, shoulders, abs, hips and thighs to bring balance into the body. Most body aches and pains are due to muscular imbalance. Pilates helps to realign the spine in order to decrease tension, increase flexibility, and strengthen the body from the inside out.

Dance for Fitness
If you love watching "So You Think You Can Dance" and wish you could move like the contestants, this class might be what you need. It's a great way to stay in shape, burn calories, and have lots of fun. We will also experiment with hip hop and lyrical movements for more diverse dance experience. This class is designed in a way that will allow you to gain full benefits of controlled movement without the necessity of dancing with a partner. You will learn basics of tango, cha cha, swing, salsa, and much more while having fun, however since it's a fitness program you can expect to sweat the pounds away.

Outdoor Fitness Adventure - New
This outdoor class will consist of winter hiking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing at various locations throughout Manchester, Bolton and Vernon. Must have good hiking boots and a pair of snowshoes and poles. The weather and amount of snow will determine the activity of the day. Be prepared to enjoy the cold. Kayak Nature Tour at Great Island, Old Lyme
A great fall excursion. Connecticut Coastal Kayaking, LLC in conjunction with the Recreation Department will provide a three hour/four mile fall kayaking excursion on June 26th. Coastal Connecticut's waterways are beautiful, diverse, and user-friendly. The region's large tidal rivers, smaller freshwater rivers, lakes, marshes, and the Long Island Sound, with its many beaches and islands, are made for sea kayaks. These easy-to-paddle craft are perfectly suited to quietly explore the area's tranquil nooks and crannies. In a kayak, birds and wildlife are easy to observe, small streams and shallow marshes can be conveniently navigated, and you feel connected to nature in an intimate way.

All equipment is provided, along with basic instruction and a 2 1/2 hour guided tour. We use stable kayaks perfect for small, meandering river and marsh. Tour is easy and does not require previous paddling experience. Morning Pilates with Props
Pilates strengthens the muscles that support the spine the neck, shoulders, abs, hips and thighs to bring balance into the body. Most body aches and pains are due to muscular imbalance. Pilates helps to realign the spine in order to decrease tension, increase flexibility, and strengthen the body from the inside out.

Dance for Fitness
If you love watching "So You Think You Can Dance" and wish you could move like the contestants, this class might be what you need. It's a great way to stay in shape, burn calories, and have lots of fun. Program incorporates various traditional ballroom dances and techniques to help you develop that "Dancing with the Stars" body, and reinforce strength, stability and control. We will also experiment with hip hop and lyrical movements for more diverse dance experience. This class is designed in a way that will allow you to gain full benefits of controlled movement without the necessity of dancing with a partner. You will learn basics of tango, cha cha, swing, salsa, and much more while having fun, however since it's a fitness program you can expect to sweat the pounds away. Class is great for people of all shapes and sizes.
